Alvaro and Ricki have spent their first days in Japan, and seems they feel very good in the land of their friend Eigo. The guys of EXPN have just written a small report about the first period in the country of rising sun, check it out at http://espn.go.com/action/fmx/blog?post=4136916

Meanwhile the new issue of the French Freestyler Magazine, the only mag all about fmx (distributed in the whole world) is  out. Inside there are two posters, one with an hart attack of  Alvaro, shoot by Ricki in South Africa.

The last issue of XOFFROAD contains a review of the helmets graphics dedicated to riders. Between all the helmets there's the Shark's one designed by Alve himself toghether with is friend Andrix.

Last magazine of this time: PointBreak is a montly mag dedicated to boarsports market operators (factories, distributors, shops etc.). This time the mag is dedicated to sneakers: between a lot of brands there's CMYK too.

The French video producotrs MM put online the trailer of next European fmx video, Nine o'Clock, that will be ready in June. In the video there will be the best European pros, obiouvsly Alvaro has a video part too!

24.04.09 VIDEOCLIP WITH MALLORY SWITCH - FILMERFORCE - MOTOTV - JAPAN TRIP

Alve never stops himself, he has a period of intensive training and work. Two weeks ago he was involved with Filmer Force in a shooting for the Tv network sky MotoTV, to document a tipical training day. There were also the DaBoot teammates  Maurizio Poggiana, Luca Zironi, Jader Toninello, Samuele Dottori and Prosdocimi.
Alve has also been to the MotoTV studios in Milan, to comment the last RedBull X-fighters, held in Mexico City: between the competitors there were some friends of him: Andre Villa, Tom Pages and Eigo Sato, CMYK shoes teammate of Alve, who ended in the second place.

Last weekend, in Alve park, the band Mallory Switch (www.malloryswitch.com) filmed for their new videoclip; Alve himself, as one of the main characters of the video, was filmed whilst riding.  We'll soon see the video in TV channels like MTV, All Music etc.
The band also played in a venue organized with Alvaro at Life Club in Belluno... Ride to party!
Thanks a lot to the many walkers-on who weren't scared by the rain and took part to the video, making it more original and colourful...

New riding experience for Alvaro: he is taking confidence with a 4 strokes KTM 250, brought by KTM Italy, because next Tuesday he'll fly to Japan, where he'll actually ride a 4-strokes bike and were he'll find the friend Eigo Sato.
This trip, organized with Riki Monti, is part of a serie of trips scheduled for the 2009: they'll take part to the biggest FMX event in Japan, organized by Eigo, and they'll travel to take a bite of Japanese style and culture. Alve is the first european to ride in a Japanese event, so the local guys are really excited.

01.04.09 SOUTH AFRICA TOUR

Alve came back a few days ago from his wonderful South African experience.
Here you are a little report:
in the first part of the trip Alve and the photographer Riki Monti, who accompanied Alve in African lands, went to Green River, near Johannesburg, to meet Walter Giannini, italian pro wakeboarder: he's there since a couple of months to train toghether with the S.A. Pro Shaun Faccio and  Mattew; the italian guys cooked for the southafrican guys, so they can taste our delicios national dishes.

Then Alvaro and Riki moved to fmx pro and friend Nick De Vit, in north of Johannesburg, to start  riding time, alternating freeride and park sessions. Between a dinner and a party in Nick's house they celebrated the birthday of fmxer Brandow Potter and his twin, bringing a little bit of italian style in their party.

Alister, another local pro, showed a super solid freeriding style, and De Wit is more stylish than ever in tricks and flips. The last session, in Daytona park, involved almost the whole South African fmx scene.

After the discover of all typical African animals (giraffes, crocodiles, ostriches and others) the guys tried to taste them, in a typical local restaurant :-)

Before to fly back home Alvaro and Riki returned to wakeboarder's place, for a new photosession, which viewed Alve ride a wakeboard in an original way and helping Riki with photography stuff.

23.02.09 KRATTERS KAMP – CARESANA PARK – SOUTH AFRICA – INTERVIEWS

Alvaro is everytime on the road: last weekend he have been to Bardo Park in Bardonecchia where he was invited as a guest star to the Kratters Kamp, held by RedBull and Kratters brothers. He spent a few days there, snowboarding in park and powder and taking part in a few interviews for SKY and other networks with Giacomo and Filippo. He had the chanche to see some good old friend like Bubba, Kinder, Tato and many more.

Some days after Alvaro went to Pavia in the park of his friend Carlo Caresana, to get the proper training on FMX and MX trails.

Now he's preparing to go to South Africa with his friend and photographer Riki Monti: there they'll meet Nick De Wit, Jason and the other guys of the southafrican FMX scene, to ride some good freeride. This journey will be good to meet his friend Walter Giannini, good wakeboarder of the CMYK team, who is spending the winter riding in the warm australis emisphere.

It is not easy to start again and act as if nothing had happened, but life goes on and we must treasure of things that happen to make a turn of our being without regrets. The event has been heavily covered by medias all around the world and live broadcasted on most of South America. In a Sold Out stadium most of world’s top riders made their exhibition, unfortunately a strong wind characterized the event leading to the consequences we all already know.
Alve couldn’t ride for a mechanical failure at the beginning of the first run that forced him to be spectator for the whole race. Dany Torres winner, Charles Pagès second place and third Eigo Sato. On the HI Jump won Richmond before Ronnie Renner and Tommy Clowers. Also the Quad show has been really cool and hi level.

Kratter Kamp    
The Red Bull Kratters Kamp, on its second edition, is an event aiming at giving to young and skilled snowboarders the opportunity of being assisted by professional riders (the Kratter brothers and more riders) in the progression of their riding to develop their potential and bring them to the professional scene.
All of that take place in many spots around Italy: next weekend the Kratter brothers will be in Bardonecchia, where also Alvaro has been invited, as friend, cool rider and “guest star”.

10.02.09 RIP JEREMY LUSK

I just sent the news of Jeremy Lusk and his accident, unfortunately I found out now that Jeremy has not passed the trauma of the fall and died. This thing leaves me bewildered and shocked, I can not and I do not want to believe this, but unfortunately it is. This makes me think of what we do with all of us love and sacrifice, but one day everything ends without an explanation. We respect the great gift that we all, remember our friend Jeremy and accompany with our prayers so that he can stay where it is better to them now and watch over us. Thanks Jeremy for the emotions and the joy you've given, rest in peace, you will always be with us in our hearts.

Check out the new issue of www.smoothness.de, webmag where you can find sequences of the best riders in Europe and Worldwide. On the inside there's a lot of pics of Alve, and some double sequence of him and his mate Bianconcini taken at the Bologna Motor Show.

Now Alve is in Sevilla, Spain, in his friend Dany Torres park, to keep himself in a warm climate and have the right training in view of the Costa Rica FMX. 14.01.09 AARON MEMORIAL, SNOWBOARDING, ALVE ITW

The winter break from Fmx goes on, but to tell the truth Alve never stop himself.

These days are for snowboarding: last weekend Alleghe superpark held the 4th Aaron Shoemaker memorial, contest organized by the Alvaro’s snowboard crew to remember a good friend that left us. This meeting, which had a discrete success, had Alvaro involved as rider, organizer and speaker. For further info, pics or anything else check out www.alleghesuperpark.com.

From Monday Alve and his crew, followed by Bragotto and DeVecchi cameras and filmed by the Zombies Crew, are around the Belluno area to find new spots to produce footage and pics.
Another thing to say is that on Monday Alve filmed some footage for the American network EXPN about a tipical day of him; check the website in the future to know when we can see it.

The media coverage of our rider is never ending: in the Motosprint mag issue out now you can read a good interview about him, and you can do the same thing on the California sport and A4 distribution websites, www.californiasport.info and www.a4distribution.info .

In the next days Alvaro will be around home to relax and snowboard, and step by step to begin the training, in prevision of the Costarica International FMX of February, the 7th.

31.12.08 END OF YEAR NEWS

Alve is just returned from the S.Sebastian Movistar FMX, where , to end the season in a good way, he got the 3^rd place after Rouné and the winner Torres, while the Australian rider Cameron Sinclair won the best trick with his double flips.

Now is the time for a little break from FMX, to ride snowboard and celebrate Xmas with family and friends. Speaking about snowboarding, is important to remember the IV Aaron Shoemaker Memorial, a contest/meeting held the 3^rd and the 4^th of January in Alleghe Superpark, the snowpark built by Alvaro and his snowboard crew (www.alleghesuperpark.com).

On the OnBoard Italy issue out in the first days of the next year you can find a new interview about the snowboard side of Alvaro; meanwhile in the american FuelTV you can watch to an interwiev and a profile about him.

17.12.08 GABLS INAUGURATION + TRAINING + MOVISTAR FMX

GABLS, collective exhibit of young artists from Belluno, opened last Saturday at 5PM in Palazzo Crepadona, Belluno. We've previously spoken about this, we can say more that the opening was a success, it viewed about thousand visitors only in the first day. For further info read the official press release (in Italian).

Meanwhile the rain falls down: find the way to train is very difficult for Alve, as for all FMX riders and for almost all sportsmen in general. Jump on ramps is now impossible: the ramps are too slippery and dangerous; neither slopes are rideable, because they're too soaky.

To prepare to the very important event held next weekend in S.Sebastian, the MOVISTAR FMX, which will see him riding against some of  world top riders, Alve had to go in Emilia Romagna, near Po river, to ride on a sandy place, better than normal trails with rain. He can't jump, but at least he can ride, to keep his sensibility and his feeling with bike at the level needed to head next weekend's competition.

10.12.08 MOTOR SHOW REPORT

Bologna Motor Show: with its hundred of thousand visitors and its big media coverage is the most important appointment in Italy, and not only, in the world of motors... Here are presented all news for the next year, and is possible meet all constructors, pilots and celebrities, and is possible to watch to a lot of contest and shows.

For FMX too things were made in big: from Friday to Monday we had an international contest, with names like Eigo Sato, Dani Torres, Tom e Charl Pages, Willy Fulmer, Petr Pilat, Massimo Bianconcini and Alvaro Dal Farra.

The contest worked in two different ways: the classic, individual, and the syncro, with riders divided into teams of two, jumping simoultaneously on two parallel ramps. Alve got good results in both competitions, winning the first day syncro in couple with pilat and the second and third day ones in couple with Bianco, and arriving third at the last day individual competition.

The area 48 of Bologna Expo, in which spaces were the contest, was full of crowd. In the next days the event will be transmitted on Rai and Nuvolari networks.

Next appointment the 20th of December in S.Sebastian, Basque Country, Spain, for the Movistar FMX... Gasatevi!

Alve's works ever had a strong freestyle connotation, The works of Alve have always had a  freestyle characterization, and even if in these years of intense sport engagement he had to set a little aside its artistic side, in reality he never stopped himself...
Now in a few days we'll see him return, as usual with a work strictly connected with his acting in the sports world, on the inside of GABLS: what are we speaking about?
On the 13th of December, at 5Pm, GABLS, collective exhibit that put toghether a good number of young artist from the Belluno region, will open its doors; usually these artists have a well known name in the international scene, while they are totally new in their origin territories.
You'll can know the work of artist working on different fields, like photography, music, painting, sculpture, video-installation,  live-performance, graffiti-art and so on.

02.11.08 MOTORSHOW + BIASION + INTERVIEW

The snow covered the whole north of Italy, expecially the Belluno area, where the Alve’s FMX park is now totally white. Our rider interrupted the training on bike for a few days, so he went up the mountain to snowboard: he couldn’t find a better moment, with a meter of fresh powder!

Yesterday the playground changed: Alvaro went for a shooting by car for “Gazzetta dello Sport”, with the rally legend Miki Biasion… Bianco and Icio were present too.

Speaking about snowboard, a new video interview is out now on www.montagna.tv, all about the snowboard side of Alve. Another interview is out on the Italian mag Point Break, this time paying attention to FMX, snowboard, art and other sides of the volcanic Alvaro, but above all focusing on the CMYK project, started with the good friend Andrea Codoro.

Next weekend Alve will be at Bologna Motor Show, one of the most important events in Europe for motor world. You can find FMX from Friday to Monday on the Area 48 of the fair; in this international show the Italian colours will be defended by Alvaro and Bianco.

25.11.08 GENOVA SX + NEXT EVENTS + GABLS

Alve came back yesterday from Genova SX: what to say? Full of public, perfect try, to confirm that Alvaro is now more in ealth than ever, ready to rock on!
Unfortunately the the show wasn’t that good for his friend Vanni: he was flippin’ during the training, and due to a perforated wheel he fell and broke his leg (shinbone and fibula). He had a surgery yesterday, we’re sure that he’ll back soon, meanwhile our best wishes!

Speaking about next events: Alve will not go in Grenoble and Prague: he prefer to focus on his training, to do as well as possible and start the 2009 stronger than ever; but he’ll take part to Bologna Motor Show and S.Sebastian event.

Today there will be a shooting with Nicola Carignani for Riders mag, a new thing for FMX. No anticipations for now, you’ll see…

Next weekend in Dorno, at Caresana park, there will be an FMX meeting and DaBoot school, with Bianco, Grana, Alve and others. So, if you want to learn to jump on ramps, with wery good teachers, this is the right time and right place! For info: paolograna@email.it.

20.11.08 MOSCA+CRUSTY DEMONS+SX GENOVA 

Alve is back a few days ago from Moscow, where he showed the results of his work of training and rehab, riding at a top level, in a relaxed mood and with all his tricks in his hands. So, good result for his reentry!

Meanwhile the Crusty Demons crew (www.crustyeurope.com) arrived in Europe, where it wants to make its presence very strong: there’s a Crusty European team, which has on its inside Alve, Bianco and Vanni; they’ll take part to the Crusty European Tour on schedule.

12.11.08 ALVE IS BACK IN FIT + MOSCA INT’L FMX CONTEST + ITW ON CALIFORNIASPORT.INFO

After the bad crash that involved Alvaro, our athlete worked in all directions to make himself as well-fitted as possible: physiotherapy, running, gym training, and a lot of work on his bike, in slope and in park, trained by Lorenz Magnoni, his mechanic – trainer – motivator.
Alve went to Puglia, in south of Italy, to find the good weather necessary for his training: there, in DangerFarm park, he saw Ciccio White land his first double backflip in foampit!! Check out www.dangerfarm.it.

Now it seems that Alve is ready to ride at a top level: in fact tomorrow he’ll be travelling toward Moscow to an international FMX contest, best wishes for him!

13.10.08 ALVE WRITES ON RIDER MAG + RIDER MANIA

Alvaro, for the good feelings and th friendship with RIDER mag and Moreno, one of its journalist, wrote a piece on the October issue, speaking about the concept of freestyle and its meaning for him, and commenting some pics of his friends/workmates taken during the Master Of Dirt, international contest organized in Austria every year, and in which Alve will parttake next season.

06.10.08 ALVE IS PREPARING HIMSELF TO REENTER, HIS KTM IS AT KOLN EXPO, DABOOT PARTY

After the last crash and Doc De Marchi diagnosis, Alvaro beginned the gym training coached by Bonan, which prepares him to rebegin to ride his bike as well fitted as possible.
Dal Farra will have to substain another exam the next week, to be sure about the proper functioning of his kidney, and after that he'll return to ride his bike. Meanwhile his motorcycle is on display this week at the exhibition in Cologne, Germany, at the Racetech booth, where Lorenzo, Alve mechanic, went to mount the new special parts made with laser by Piazza Rosa, to make the bike more unique and detailed than ever.
Last Friday in Milan, @ Alcatraz, we had DaBoot party, with great success; a lot of friends were there, and a lot of photographers captured the mundane evening, including those of Rider magazine that followed  DaBoot from the pre-party to the end.
